Troubleshoot email alert issues

5 steps
1
I'm not receiving alert emails
First, verify that the alert is active (not deactivated) from the "Alerts" menu in your profile.
Check your spam or junk mail folder. Emails from notificaciones@portacostarica.com sometimes end up there the first time.
Mark Porta's email as "Not spam" or add it to your contacts so it always lands in your main inbox.
2
Verify your account email
Alerts are sent to the email you registered with. Confirm it's the right one from "My profile" → "Account details".
If you need to change the email, contact the support team from the "Contact us" section.
3
The criteria are too strict
If there are no new properties matching your criteria, you won't receive emails. This is not an error — there simply are no listings that meet all the filters.
Try broadening the price range, expanding the area, or reducing the bedroom and size filters to get more results.
4
I'm receiving too many emails
If you're getting many notifications, adjust the criteria to make them more specific: a smaller area, a tighter price range, or a more specific property type.
You can also temporarily deactivate the alert if you're in a period when you can't review properties.
5
The email arrives but links don't work
If you click a property link and see a "Not found" error, the property was likely deleted or deactivated by the seller.
This is normal — the email was generated when the property was active. You can ignore that notification or go back to the homepage to see similar available properties.
If the problem persists with all links, contact support from the "Contact us" section with the error details.
