Set up a search alert
3 min read
5 steps
1
Sign in to your account
To create alerts you need an active account on Porta. Sign in from the top-right corner.
Alerts are linked to your registered email, so it's important that you have access to that inbox.
2
Go to the Alerts menu
Click the profile icon (top-right corner) and select "Alerts" from the dropdown menu.
If this is your first alert, you'll see an empty screen with a "Create alert" button. If you already have active alerts, they'll be listed here.
3
Configure the search criteria
Select the operation type (Sale or Rent), the property type (House, Apartment, Land, etc.), and the area or province you're interested in.
You can refine the search with additional filters: price range, number of bedrooms, minimum area in m², and more.
The more specific the criteria, the more relevant the properties you receive will be. Avoid overly broad alerts to avoid flooding your inbox.
4
Give your alert a name
Give the alert a descriptive name so you can identify it easily later, for example: "Houses in Escazú 2 beds" or "Land in Guanacaste".
This name is only visible to you — it doesn't appear in emails or on properties.
5
Save the alert
Click "Save alert". From that moment on, every time a new property is listed that matches your criteria, you'll receive a notification email.
You can create up to 3 active alerts per account.
